The Flower Of Evil

rating: Mature
Volumes: 7 Complete

The Flower of Evil is by Lee Hyeon-Sook. Se-Wa and Se-Joon are twins. Se-Joon is like any high school boy with friends and a social life. Se-Wa doesn't know how to be comfortable without clinging to her brother Se-Joon. They both have feelings for each other, Se-Wa expresses it more at the beginning. It is expressed with how Se-Wa sneaks into Se-Joons bed a night and how they kiss when no one is watching.

Se-Joon soon tries to avoid Se-Wa. The guilt of loving his sister is troubling him. He tries to distract himself by using his girlfriend Sun-Bae as an excuse to not be with his sister. I feel really sorry for Sun-Bae.

The first volume or so I thought this was going to play like Boku wa Imouto ni Koiwosuru Korean version. But I think it gets much disturbing than that. Se-Wa drugs Sun-Bae out of jealousy. Se-Joon later on in the series turns out to be equally if not more psychotic than Se-Wa. As you can see it's really hard to like these characters.

I really like when Gi-Hon (who claimed to be an old family friend) and Se-Wa were getting close. Se-Wa was almost acting like a normal person and her interest in the latest horror movies and forums online about horror movies showed me she had some sort of life besides Se-Joon.

i haven't read much manhwa but the I consider the art here beautiful. Their eyes are so expressive and I love the detail on the eyelashes that you don't see much in manga.
